Claudine Zap is an award-winning writer who covers real estate, arts, entertainment, culture, fashion, food, and travel stories. As an editor at Yahoo, she tracked web trends, authored slide shows, and blogged major events, including the Oscars, the Golden Globes, and the royal wedding of Will and Kate.
She graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Journalism, and freelanced for KQED, Huffington Post, Salon’s Broadsheet, Alternet, MotherJones.com, Utne.com, the Berkeleyan, Bitch Magazine, Contra Costa Times, East Bay Express, Smith College Alumnae Quarterly, BitchBlog, and Citysearch.com. She also co-founded the podcast B-side.
As a copywriter, Claudine wrote and edited marketing and customer communications, newsletters, press releases, and web text. She also assisted in the editing and publishing of Pulitzer-Prize winning Glenn Greenwald’s bestselling first book, “How Would a Patriot Act?”
An East Coast transplant living on the West Coast, Claudine considers herself happily bi-coastal. Her obsessions: Dark chocolate, sparkling wine, running, cooking and traveling with her husband, and playing with her Vizsla.
